IE April #2 Watercolor and salt

Today's card was made for the Inspiration Journal where I and my super talened Inspiration Emporium teamies share  inspiration. If you haven't been already make sure to visit right away  - lots of amazing and inspiring projects !
This time I played with some watercolor and salt. If you want my favorite watercolors to a great price you should check these out right away: Winsor Newton
I just dropped some watercolor in different colors and let them blend on the paper. Before it had dried completely I sprinkled some salt and let it dry completely. When you brush off the salt you will find that  it has sucked up some of the paint and created a Beautiful pattern.

The sentiment is from Paper Smooches and can be found HERE!

This is so awesome, Karin! What a fun technique with the watercolors and salt! I really love the combo of the free flow watercolors with the graphic punch of the black and white!

I love this card. The patterns the salt leaves behind adds a gorgeous design in a pool of color. Those stripes around the outside draws you right in. Such a beautiful card. Bev

Hi Karin, I love this card, great technique! I like the matching pearls, did you have pearls that matched or did you make them match with copics? Thanks for sharing your talents and inspiring.
